- Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Wetland Bioassessment Program
- Minnesota has been developing their wetland biological assessment program since 1992. The program involves development of wetland assessment methods by studying vegetation and invertebrates in wetlands across a range of human disturbance. They have developed two separate Indexes of Biological Integrity (IBI) for Minnesota depressional wetlands.
- Dakota County Volunteer Monitoring Program
- Dakota County is partnering with MPCA to train volunteers to complete sampling and wetland assessments. Volunteers learn methods; quality assurance protocols; and how to identify plants, insects, and other animals living in the wetlands.
