Water: Monitoring & Assessment
Florida Wetland Bioassessment Projects
In 1997, the University of Florida Center for Wetlands initiated a multiyear wetland research project that will develop a rapid, reproducible, and meaningful integrated biological approach for Florida's wetlands.
Florida DEP is conducting biological assessments on aquatic flora and fauna in the Florida Everglades to develop numeric water quality criterion for phosphorus.
Photographs in this tour show what bioassessment training in Florida is like. These photographs are from the FDEP spring 1998 wetland bioassessment training.
