Clean Water Act Section 404 Regulatory Training
Each year, the Wetlands Division of the Environmental Protection Agency hosts a training course on Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. This course provides federal and state governmental staff with valuable information on the permitting process for Clean Water Act Section 404 regulations.
Sponsored by the Wetlands Division of EPA's Office of Wetlands, Oceans, and Watersheds, the 2013 Clean Water Act Section 404 Training Course will be held in the EPA Regional offices in Seattle, WA from May 13 - 17, 2013. This course provides an introductory overview of the 404 program and training in the application of the 404(b)(1) guidelines, as well as covering topics related to the 404 program such as the jurisdictional scope of 404, the Nationwide Permit Program, compensatory mitigation and elevated case procedures.
There is no registration fee associated with this training. If you would like to take part in this training program*, please fill out the information below and return to Jenny Thomas via email, Thomas.Jenny@epa.gov, by April 19, 2013. The training will begin at 1:00pm on May 13 and finish by 3:00pm on May 17.
*This program is intended for EPA staff and other federal government officials involved in Clean Water Act, Section 404 activities. Priority will be given to these employees prior to the April 19 deadline. After the deadline, registration forms from State and Tribal officials will be accommodated in the order in which they were received.
