The EPA Office of Water has worked in collaboration with partner organizations to hosts and co-sponsor training sessions on best practices in asset management. There are two workshops remaining the FY 2012 cycle.

  • CUPSS Train-the-Trainer Webinar Series—EPA offers quarterly CUPSS Train-the-Trainer Webinars. To find out when the next series will be offered, sign up for the trainer's listserv.
  • Asset Management 101 for Systems Webinar—This webinar provides an introduction to asset management for small systems. It will include a summary of the basics of asset management to provide small drinking water and wastewater systems context of the benefits of implementing an asset management program. Specific topics within the presentation include the five core questions of an asset management framework, how to begin an asset management program at a system, and different tools and resources available to help the system implement asset management practices. The audience for this webinar includes small drinking water systems, small wastewater systems and technical assistance providers.   • Asset Management 101 for State Drinking Water—This webinar discusses how asset management can support state drinking water protection goals. The benefits of asset management to both state drinking water programs and small drinking water systems will be explored, as well as how asset management principles can be incorporated into current state initiatives and requirements. A case study of a state actively promoting asset management will be showcased. The audience for this webinar includes state Capacity Development, Operator Certification, and Drinking Water SRF Coordinators.
